Pumpkin Crafts

We’ve been busy making seasonal crafts.  This time of year seems to bring out the crafty side in our house.  There are just so many fun things to make for decorations, treats, fun places to go, music to listen to and books to read.  I love this time of year!

Joe and Jack made several different pumpkin crafts. boyspaintingpng
Joe wanted to make something for his room.  He’d seen Hanna making decorations for her room and he wanted some too.  He made a pumpkin jack-o-lantern from a milk jug.  Jack made a pumpkin from a brown paper lunch sack.  After it was a painted and dry I fringed the edges, stuffed it with crumpled paper, stuck a rolled up piece of green construction paper in the middle, strung a few silk leaves on a pipe cleaner, and closed the top of it with the pipe cleaner.  These both turned out cute!

Jack made two more pumpkins.  Both from Itty Bitty Bookworm—a mosaic pumpkin using construction paper, and the other a paper plate pumpkin just like Joe made last year.

We’ve been reading lots of pumpkin books.  Here are some of our favorites:

We are looking forward to lots more crafts this Fall and holiday season.  Hopefully we’re just getting warmed up:-).
