Week Three-Part Two

Joe is 3 years, 11 months old

We did a few more things to finish off our week with the letter "Cc". We made and decorated cupcakes. I've been in a baking mood this week and the letter "Cc" presented a few opportunities to do some baking so I took advantage of them. Plus, helping in the kitchen promotes basic math skills along with a host of other teaching/learning times.

We practiced writing alot more this week, reviewing the numbers and letters Joe has learned so far. We used our lapbooks to reinforce language/math skills.

Lastly, I had Joe do pom pom counting pictured below. He enjoyed this and it was a fun way to practice the number 11. We will keep learning how to write the numbers 1-10 but are moving on to numbers 11 and up in all other math related areas for now.

We had a good week. It was fun for both of us. *Side note* I signed up for an e-course the end of last week through Homeschooling ABC's. It's very cost efficient and offers alot of freebies and a wealth of homeschool info for a beginner like myself. I really like the course so far. I will post about it in depth after I've completed a bit more of the course. So far though, so good!

  1. The baking was definitely a fun part of the letter C. Next week we are making home made non healthy very easy doughnuts if you want the recipe.
