Hanna's Curriculum--Final Choices/First Impressions

After weeks and hours and hours (literally) and ordering, receiving, refunding--searching all over again (hours and hours more), reordering and receiving again!!!! I am finally satisfied with Hanna's curriculums. I am excited to begin homeschool with her. She will begin in a little less than two weeks. We are doing school all summer (give or take a little time here or there for trips) to plan ahead for the arrival of our newest addition mid-September. Thought this would make it easier on all of us when we take a little time off after the baby. Hanna is very excited about all of her new books and she wants to start school immediately:-). She's even been reading Science and History already! I hope this enthusiasm continues:-)!

Here are our final picks:

Rod and Staff Math and Grammar Grade 5
Apologia Zoology 1
History Odyssey-Ancients Level Two
The Classical Education Timeline
National Geo World Atlas for Young Explorers
The Kingfisher History Encyclopedia (2004 Edition)
The Story of Mankind
Wordly Wise 3000 Book 5

  1. I finally got the history curriculum from my sisnlaw since I saw her this weekend. I think it is hot stuff in Utah but who knows what it is actually like. It is called The Story of the World and/or The Well Trained Mind by Susan Wise Bauer. Let me know what the critics say about it.
